One of the sets for my animation Code:Noir [link]

this is what used to be a Shell petrol station in Pretoria somewhere (couldn't remember where exactly, if I remember correctly it was in Burnett street

) basically portraying the circumstances in the story... all hell broke loose

It's partially photo-manipulated and mostly painted over the photo

oh damn!! That really is amazing man! Really enjoy this piece a lot. Has that silent hill-ish feeling to it, dark, warm tones, has that soft look to it yet a really creepy mood. Well done!

Wow, this is cool.
Near where I live there's a Shell station and then once we were driving by it at night and the 'etter s had burned out so all you could see was hell. This picture reminds me of that because you kind of blurred out the s.

Really? that's pretty ironic...

I did this as a background for my in-progress animation named Code:Noir and it basically states the circumstances in which the story takes place, being in a state of full-scale war... and as it's been already said: War is hell.
